Tenute Costadoria · Valledoria, Sardinia

From sea and river

Tenute Costadoria sits on a gentle hill above the Gulf of Asinara in northern Sardinia — a coastline historically ruled by the Genoese Doria family in the 12th century, from whom the estate takes its name. Today it is an organic farm of more than 50 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and gardens, where wine is the honest imprint of the landscape — wind, light, salt and river sediment.

A terroir that speaks two languages

The estate’s great treasure lies in its dual soul. The vineyards facing the sea give rise to the *Vini di Mare* — fresh, savoury, vibrant wines shaped by the maestrale wind and the light reflecting off the Gulf of Asinara. The vineyards along the Coghinas Valley become the *Vini di Fiume* — enveloping, structured, mineral wines drawn from deep alluvial soils. One landscape, two voices.

Philosophy — from field to bottle

  • Organic farming

Vineyards cultivated organically, with minimal intervention, daily observation and respect for the plant’s life cycle.

  • Hand harvest

Picked by hand, bunch by bunch, only at true maturity. No forcing, no shortcuts.

  • Spontaneous fermentation

Fermentation runs on native yeasts, without aggressive clarification — we let the grape speak in its own voice.

  • Steel, concrete, wood

Each plot finds its own vessel. Nothing is standardised; every vintage is different.

D.O.C. Sardegna — a guarantee of origin

D.O.C. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) is not just a label for us. It is a declaration of belonging to Sardinia and a strict agronomic and oenological standard. We work primarily with the island’s historic varieties — Vermentino, Cannonau and Moscato — completed by IGT Isola dei Nuraghi for our signature cuvées.

Tasting is discovering

Tasting at Costadoria is not just sampling: it is listening, discovering, storytelling. You are guided by someone who works in the vineyard or cellar every day — in the shade of the olive trees or on the terrace overlooking the sea. Each glass arrives with the story of its harvest and vintage, paired with the estate’s own produce: artichokes in oil, jams, bread and olive oil.
